So to reduce your smartphone battery consumption, you need to know where you are using your smartphone battery. In the case of the iPhone, select 'Battery' in the Settings app to give a percentage of the last 24 hours or the last 6 days where you used the battery. I usually listen to a lot of music, but it's amazing how I used more than half of my battery in my music app.

2.You can check battery performance from Settings> Battery:

If you have noticed any unusual results after checking battery consumption, check the battery performance. Generally, lithium-ion batteries in smartphones are consumables, and they become chemically aging, resulting in poor charging efficiency.

That is, as the battery ages, the amount of charge decreases, and the time interval for recharging the device becomes shorter. In general, if the battery performance is less than 80% for the iPhone, it is judged that the battery performance is degraded and the replacement is recommended.

If you do not do anything special on your smartphone and it's strange enough to run out of battery, let's check the battery performance.

3.Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth:

If you do not use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, your smartphone will work constantly to find available Wi-Fi and connectable devices. The battery will quickly wear out. Therefore, it is better to disable the setting when you are not using WiFi and Bluetooth function.

You can easily turn WiFi and Bluetooth on and off in the control center. Especially for iPhone, iOS 11, WiFi and Bluetooth may be turned on automatically when you turn your smartphone off and on.

4.Adjust the brightness of the display:

The brightness of the display also has a great effect on battery consumption. The brighter the display, the faster the battery consumption.

Therefore, it is advisable to lower the display brightness to less than 50%. However, if the brightness of the display is too low, the text may be invisible.

5.Turn off unnecessary alarms/Notification:

When you download various apps to your smartphone, push notifications are sent from time to time. But even at the moment when push notifications are sent, our precious batteries are consumed. So for apps that do not need to receive notifications, it's a good idea to turn them off. On the iPhone, you can set detailed notifications for each app in the "Notifications" menu in the Settings app.

6.Setting the Lock Screen Still Image:

Smartphone lock screen that you will see several times a day. Depending on what image you set on this lock screen, the battery consumption also varies greatly.

If you set it to a still image that is not moving, that is, a still image, the battery consumption is low, but when you set it as a moving image, the battery consumption is quite large.

Therefore, in order to reduce unnecessary battery consumption of the smart phone, it is recommended to set the lock screen as still image.

7.Disable back running apps:

When your smartphone is on, the more apps that run automatically, the faster the battery runs out. So if you do not have the app you need, it's a good idea to turn off autoplay.

Especially for iPhone users, many users do not know that fitness tracking is enabled when 'Behavior and Fitness' is selected in the 'Privacy' menu of the Settings app. If you do knot use the fitness feature specifically, let it go.

8.Disable auto update in app store/play store:

If Auto Update is enabled, the battery runs out quickly. If so, let's disable the update in the iTunes and App Store in the Settings app. You will be able to keep a battery that has been consumed constantly for updating.

9.Turn off background app refresh:

Finally, turn off background app refresh. When this feature is enabled, the background app will continuously refresh when connected to Wi-Fi or data, causing the battery to wear out quickly. So if you want to reduce battery consumption, turn off background app refresh.
