Smartphone Batteries, Related Myths and Ways of Taking Better Care
Myths About Smartphone Batteries
When it comes to smartphone battery there are lots and lots of myths
that you will encounter. In this article we will break through those
myths, know if they are true and also learn to take care of our
smartphone batteries. While talking about batteries you will encounter
the following myths:
1. Never fully charge your battery
We
often hear people suggesting us not to charge batteries upto a 100%
mark. This thing is true as even experts suggest that you should keep
your battery capacity in between 20%-80% which will increase the battery
life and somewhat result in a better performance. But you can still
charge upto 100% which will do no harm to the battery so, no need to
worry if you fully charge your battery, it is sometimes good and
important to have that extra percentage of battery.
2. Never Overcharge
Another myth that finds its way on this list is the the one that tells
you not to overcharge your phone. Which in today's word is not a thing.
If you are using a old phone or to be specific very old phone then you
might need to worry about overcharging but if you use a new age device
and leave it plugged in overnight then you have nothing to worry about.
Your phone after reaching it's full capacity will then start powering
itself from the power coming from the adapter saving the battery for
later use when not plugged in.
3. Never Use Your Phone While It's Plugged In
In the no.3 spot we have this myth that says never use your phone while
it's plugged in. Why? because it might blast on your face which would
definitely be a serious problem. Do not worry it's somewhat fake too. If
you are using your phone while plugged in and its not heating and doing
its job, its fine enjoy your digital time. But make sure your phone is
from a trusted and responsible manufacturer with a clean record that's
pretty much it and just don't let it overheat.
4. Charging While on Flight Mode Helps You Charge Faster
The new age phones come with a great battery management system and due
to this radio frequencies don't take alot of you power. So charging
like this will only vary by 1-2 percents of charge which might not be
worth loosing a important call or is it. A better way to charge your
battery would be by just switching it off and plugging it the fastest
way I can suggest till date
.
5. Apps for Better charging and battery life
This is also a myth apps don't provide fast charging or better battery
life. They would just toggle through settings and do some tweaks which
you yourself can do or even better now phones come with their own power
modes use them instead which would do the same job in a much more
efficient way than any other app. These apps will just use you to sell
adds no offense but truth is truth.
